You should have seen the look on my face when hitting a bumper gave you 10 points towards the 100,000 point goal.

Whoa long rants about fanboys. Really, there are so many fans of everything that are annoying, so really I just try to enjoy what I enjoy without being waterlogged by the many flocks of annoying people who whine or complain about said franchise.
That being said, Sonic DOES have a lot of fans that can never be satisfied. I enjoyed Sonic Heroes when nobody else did, and I'm still not quite sure why it's such an unliked game. I thought it was Sonic-ey. *shrug* And there were parts of other games I did or didn't like, but you know what, I'll keep my complaints to myself and enjoy the damn game.
It's entertainment, for God's sake. Jeez.

That is true. That game was testicles.
I credit Sonic Heroes as the game that lead me into becoming a very cautious game buyer. I read reviews like crazy now.

I'm hoping this is a good sign either way.

I think it would work and is pretty typical...of a Sonic bonus stage, which is really what that stage SHOULD be. Everything about it's design is more like a bonus stage in Sonic 1-3 (3 in particular) than a main stage...unless you include Spinball...but did anyone actually play Spinball? I think I rented it once and playing it was about as fun as the crappy level in that video. I stopped playing after about 10 minutes.

I owned it, it wasn't that great. One of the levels took place INSIDE YOUR GENESIS, though, that was pretty cool.
