I think what he probably meant to say is that it's not the type of rad the guy was talking about. It involves something new, maybe unorthadox, that is a rad idea. All of those are old rad. This is gonna be new rad.

When I hear "rad", I think "blow my mind with inconceivable awesome".
Sequels don't usually fall into that category, no matter how good the originals are. Only reason Legends 3 would blow my mind is because it would be something infinitely less predictable than an "awesome, but I totally saw that coming" sequel like Powered Up 2 or X9. It's such a long shot that it would genuinely shock and thrill me, rather than just tickle my fancy.
PU2 or X9 would still be great news, but neither one lives up to the hype induced by a statement like "SURPRISINGLY RAD MYSTERY MEGA MAN GAME ", imo.

It'll be rad either way, but I'll admit that SFIV's final boss wrote: Somebody may have seen it coming. But it excited me and when I heard about the project, I was like, 'Holy crap. That's rad.' does sound a lot like MML3. Some people have seen it coming (due to Inafune's teasing), but for others (like this dude), it seems like a big surprise. _________________

I'm kind of hoping for Mega Man Tennis or a sequel to Mega Man Soccer. Nintendo and Sega both did it, and Mega Man has a healthy enough character roster to pull it off.
I think that would surprise just about everyone, but would retain plenty of radness because everybody knows that tennis is fuckin' EXTREME
