So brentalfloss is apparently doing something with The Megas (anyone heard anything about that?), and it got me to thinking about the MMX album. I don't know what the concept plans are, and this may be the fanboy for both groups involved, but...
How would Duane Zuwala of The Adventures of Duane & BrandO/Action Adventure World sound as Zero? If he cut back on the swearing. I'm just curious if anyone else thinks this'd be kind of cool.

I don't mean to be a D-bag or A-hat, but my vote is no.
I don't really like his style much at all to begin with, and I also don't see it blending well with the Megas in general.
I'd be pretty disappointed if the X album (which I am looking forward to more than any other announced Megas project) used guest stars at all, because I REALLY want to see how the MEGAS will tackle those themes in their own style.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE The Megas and I wouldn't want Duane to come in with a single thing that wasn't written by them. I'm just saying that it might be kind of nice to see some interplay between the characters, you know? Right now it's one bot/person per song, and it limits some of the potential for interaction.
It just kind of crossed my mind because of what they were doing with Brentalfloss (whose style find intolerably immature) that they'd go with someone I actually liked as a guest artist.

First of all, it's not about you. I like brentalfloss and he's a good guy and all but The Megas are great on their own. They can sort it out on their own... but I don't see them doing any guests for their albums planned so far...

Really? I remember them talking about collaborating on a track with brentalfloss.
But thumbs up, way to respect my opinion of the artists I like and not be a condescending jerk. It reminds me why I do not come to this forum ever dspite how much I love The Megas' music.

Yeah, I would like to think we get on well on this forum... Seriously I would LOVE to think that. But still I think Brentalfloss is just doing something over one of the Megas Tracks... should be interesting... perhaps some duane and brando might be cool... never really heard them...

Dude, just ignore him. None of us like him either.
I can see him collabing on a "Don't Fuck With" song. Apart from that, I don't really see their styles meshing all that well.

That was my worry. I have no idea if they're doing anything differently because it's Mega Man X and not the classic series, which is why I didn't say "LOL Bass plz".
I love the internaliation of the Robot Masters' voices, providing a character we never see. And it doesn't violate canon in any way that I'm aware of, which is double fun. But in the X series character interaction becomes an important component in some areas, the only reason I would even think of talking about other vocalists is to allow that. I'm fascinated to see how they interpret the characters and their interactions. I have no doubt they can do this on their own, but I just have to wonder if certain avenues are open: And that his voice seems to fit the role of more of an anti-hero in contrast with the vocals of The Megas.

The Megas do what they do... end of story. If you want interaction go listen to The Protomen, The Megas are great with their songwriting though. We should accept everything they ever write with open arms

If you think that, why wouldn't you accept it if they wrote lyrics and Duane sung them?
Anyways, I think it's a good idea. The end of the MM2 Duane and BrandO thing showed that he's actually fairly good for interacting with someone a bit more serious IMO, so I think it'd fit fairly well.

I didn't say I wouldn't accept it... just that The Megas would be a different style to what I love the most out of them

We're definitely fans of collaboration (see Mega Ran, Entertainment System, Brentalfloss), but I think (speaking only for myself here) that we'll probably limit the collaborations to non-album stuff, whether it be an EP, tracks for compilations or random stuff like that, or people using our stuff on their own albums. You never know though, things may change. And if somebody like Duane or Brando asked us to sing a little ditty on one of their songs, we would most likely be down (depending on how busy we are!)
And seriously people - don't be dicks to new posters. We don't want to drive anyone away from our forums. Longstanding feuds between consenting posters are fine, but please, PLEASE just leave the new folks alone. Disagreeing is fine, just don't be an A-hat about it. Man, I love saying A-hat.

I think a Megas/DnB collab would be awesome. Not sure if I'd prefer a Duane collab or an Adventures Of collab, though. Both have their own strengths (and both are d-bags in their own ways :P). All things considered, BrandO would probably mesh with the Megas' style more.
