It makes plenty of sense. The places are exclusive, well moderated, leechers who don't seed get their accounts deleted, and posting your own torrents raises your ratio quite a bit, so there's more incentive to post stuff that's not up there already, so that you'll be the only one that people can get it from, thus raising your Ratio even more.

Makes sense to me.

Still, considering the only torrents that are generally hard to find are usually pretty obscure, a limited userbase seems even less likely to have someone who is both interested in said content and considerate enough to share it.

Even with incentives, I can't imagine people thinking "oh hey, let's just put up a torrent for every single band, album, tv series, movie I have ever downloaded and then let everybody seed off of me" There's gotta be some discretion, I imagine.

I mean, I understand the appeal (now), but it still baffles me that you could have an easier time finding a wider variety of stuff
