It wouldn't matter if it was him, Pharaoh man, or Plant man. The stage was bad, the enemy placement was unfair for that character [the stage would work a little better for Woodman or Waveman], and THE MUSIC WAS TERRIBLE.

I like the effort and at least he's trying for something that nobody's really tried on before, but it needs more play-testing. If he fixed the glitches and messed with the characters aside from attacks, it would be great. Right now though, I don't really see how it's that good.

Centaurman capricious!

Do the game if you think that it's EASY! O__O

For program the robotmasters, since i have the program, 4 months >:O

Et now, maybe 2 for the stages and ennemies.

It's a MMF2 remake with my way. Not the way of capcom (Powered up was a very cool game) and not yours.

I program for the gameplay and the skill.

The level are small! I use the weapons of the REAL ROBOTMASTERS!

I want:

With 6-7 months: A difficult and skilled game, type Megaman 1/Contra/Mario with robotmasters, like an old arcade game.

Thank you ChaoticFox, you're a friend LOL

"Why do the characters take the same amount of damage? You would think that Gutsman could take more hits then Toadman. " => ridiculous

Statements like that make me want to shoot somebody. By that logic, we can't criticize anything if we don't have the ability to make it ourselves, so we can't complain if a piece of clothing is too tight, if a game sucks, or if a song is bad because we can't make those ourselves.
I have the right to criticize something, regardless if I can or not.

And I know that programming is difficult - I tried to make an RPG 2 years ago, and I couldn't. [I still have story concepts and damage formulas floating around my house somewhere], but they're still glitches that need fixing. Some of the physics and hit detection problems make it feel like there was minimal play-testing done by the actual creator.

And regardless of how you use the weapons of robot masters or not, there's some artistic license available. I don't think I really suggested anything that wasn't in the Robot Master's abilities.

To reiterate what Derek said, there' constructive and polite criticism and then there's just you being a jackass.

Bitching about a game made by some faceless corporation is a lot different than telling a fellow forum member that his humble demo of a self-programmed fan game is a piece of shit.

Why don't you grow up a little, stop being such a prick, and offer some helpful suggestions on how to improve the game instead of just spitting out rude and empty complaints.

I usually don't criticize things I can't do myself, StinkDude. Er Centaurman, which ever little shit I'm talking to. Because I'm not a shit head.

And if clothes are too tight, they weren't made wrong, you're a dumbass for buying the wrong fucking size. Your stupid ass is probably just shopping in the wrong section.

Also Cenetaur, keep in mind that IT'S THE FUCKING DEMO.
He'll fix them eventually, just tell him NICELY what needs fixing.

Yes, it's just a demo to show the gameplay.

Centaurman, look Megaman 1, 2, i love these games but there was not a lot of ennemies no?
Megaman 1 with gutsman stage was smallest stage!
I use Multimedia Fusion 2, it's just to do with a mario bros 1 or a Megaman 1, but with a lot of time, i can do a special game.

I can change the background if it's not a problem. But i don't have good sprites for it.

The suggestions were in the complaints you're bitching about right now, but I guess I'll cram them in.

- 1: Try some new remixes, or just stick with the original soundtrack. Although some of the songs [again, Waveman] are good, alot of them are either bland or terrible.

- 2: Edit the robot masters aside from just their attacks. Having Yamatoman and Gutsman at the same level of durability and speed doesn't make much sense, and isn't true to the Robot Masters themselves.

- 3: I know you might not be a good sprite artist, but try to make some new sprites for a few characters. Having Yamatoman's regular jumping animation without the spear itself dealing damage doesn't make sense to me, since he's spinning that thing fast enough to hurt somebody. On a similar note, Gutsman's "moving" animation looks silly.

- 4: Don't just use weapons and ideas from the NES games! Although they'd require making new sprites and would probably be difficult for somebody to do, take a few attacks or maybe even 8-bit some sprites from other resources. The Power Fighters and Battle Network are both good examples, and would allow you to differentiate the characters a little more, since some of them feel very similar.

- 5: Play-test a little bit yourself for some bugs. I'm no programmer [the best extent I've got is Lunar Magic], but I don't think it takes days upon days to fix some of the slightly more prevalent bugs in the game [like the syrup ceiling.]

- 6: Try to keep the enemies closer to source material, also. I don't remember the bats speeding up to where they're faster then you, and I also don't remember the sliding...things, going at groundbreaking speeds without you being near them either. On that note, use more enemies. I know it's a demo, but I've only seen three different types of enemies, which doesn't make it interesting.

- 7: Maybe you should take everything one at a time. I have the feeling that you're making multiple stages at once, which doesn't seem to do well for the quality as a whole. Focus on one at a time.

And before anybody says that it's just a demo, I don't think it makes much sense to release a demo before it's at least 75% done. Maybe a few teaser trailers, but not quite a demo.

It's still a good try and I'm in support of the idea, but there's many flaws. Whether you listen to them or not is your call.

EDIT: Can't find any good Yamatoman remixes aside from this, but would be a little unfitting. I thought Yamatoman's theme was WAY more popular...

Do your game, i don't have the TIME for these ideas.
Go to do a mail for capcom. haha 8)

>i CAN'T USE MP3 <_< the game will be 300MB and not 20mb with the midi.

I use multimedia fusion 2 (100 euros), not MAYA OR MACROMEDIA FLASH! (8000 dollars?)

Then I can't help you, sorry.
I'm amazed at how popular some of the other songs are compared to Yamatoman, though. I've found at least 10 for Centaur, and his theme is TERRIBLE.

EDIT:

Do the game, you need Maya or Macromedia Flash (8000 dollar for maya and 1000 for macromedia flash I believe) and...a LOT of time, if you don't have friends, it must be 10 years to do the game that you want here.

I do this game for the gameplay of the real robotmasters and the SKILL, a lot of game don't have a real intelligent difficulty.

For to do the robotmasters and the 45% of the stages, I worked hard since 5-6 months...and i work every day a lot.

Il want to say, to do YOUR game is impossible, but capcom can.

EDIT: I did a blog for the fangame:
http://rockman-passion.fandeblog.com/

But it's french, use it if you want: http://fr.babelfish.yahoo.com/translate_txt
It's a translator...
