My friend used Sentinel's infinite hovering and continuously Partner Attacked me with (I think) Captain Commando and Juggernaut. I couldn't see what I was doing, and I couldn't counter anything.

But then again I don't really know what you two are arguing about, I just felt like saying something in response to: "I don't tell them their way of playing is wrong."

I'd say learn to counter it. but that wouldn't work. From the sounds of it, the gap in player skill is too wide.

The only way to get better at a game is to constantly try to better yourself with people who are right around your skill level (Preferably just a little above.). Then, someday, you'll know what to do and kick his ass.

AHEM. It's not a matter of countering it, I literally couldn't get to him. He kept spamming the Partner Attacks, which kept me from mounting any sort of offense on Sentinel and both me and his partners were offscreen.

I mean I guess if I were SUPER PRO HARDCORE NO ITEMS FOX ONLY FINAL DESTINATION about mvc2 I could have done something about it, but unfortunately that's not the case.

That's why I just don't play with those kinds of people, and why I generally stay away from tournaments. If that's how you want to play, that's your prerogative, and I suppose some amount of respect is due for someone willing to figure out and master a cheap gameplay style or creative abuse of game mechanics.

I still think it's lame and/or pathetic, and I have every right to think that. But it's not like I'm going to tell someone they CAN'T. I just won't play with them and find someone with whom I can have a good time, where both players having fun is more important than winning or asserting dominance.

That's all.

I was just struck with the sudden curiosity as to how my apparently controversial opinion about MvC is any different than Box's is about Brawl :S

Because Cow/Box will simply mention it and that will be that. You will state it loud and proud and then argue with anyone who thinks less of you for saying so.

Cowbox only got to that point after pages and pages of hotheaded debates on the subject. And if I recall right, Cowbox is the one who tried to turn my simple statement of an opinion into an argument in the first place.

I don't want to get into it again, but it just struck me as baffling.

AHHH. must be an old arguement then (or I didn't bother to read it). I remember it happening in another thread and no one argued with him over it.
