Shit, GM cracked the code. Someone dig a grave, I've got some loose ends to tie up.

After playing me some Shinobi 3 for the SEGA Genesis (Which is the greatest Shinobi game. Evar.), I decided to play some Radical Dreamers before moving forward in Chrono Cross (Which is not as bad as many people say btw) anymore, and I must ask, has anybody else played it? I think it's a pretty fun text adventure, and I got every ending except for two (I got the regular ending, the one where Kid dies, Kid and the sunflower, and Shea's ghost ending). Mitsuda's soundtrack is pretty cool as usual, and I noticed that some of the songs from the game actually appeared in CC. I heard it was originally gonna be ported to PS1, but they decided against it due to the fact the creators weren't satisfied with it. Oh well :/
Fun fact: Radical Dreamers was originally going to be a survival horror game, which explains the games dark nature and fair share of creepy moments (I.E. the ghost begging not to be devoured, seeing Lynx's hand on the couch when he's dead).

Yeah. I've played Radical Dreamers. It's good. The soundtrack is OBVIOUSLY good. It's Yasunori Mitsuda.

Just beat Mass Effect 3. I'm not gonna say the ending is as heinous as the rest of the internet says, but it was pretty fucking retarded.
This and the fact that Tali's picture is probably from Kmart makes me think that the Mass Effect plot peaked at 2.

ME3's ending is literary suicide.

Spoilers.. maybe? I haven't beat the first game or played the other two yet, but aside from knowing that there's a laser and an explosion at the end of ME3, I don't feel like this video actually spoiled anything for me, so that's why I say maybe. ending comparisonSeems pretty lazy.

So Peter Jackson got to direct the ending? Pretty sure I saw the Eye of Sauron in there.

I understand it's only been about a week and a half and I'm beyond sick of hearing about it.

Fallout 3 had it's ending content altered with Broken Steel. Belittling your character's sacrifice, and reopening the map. So did Portal to help build up to its sequel. The whiny Mass Effect fans are extreme in their entitlement and their demands are actually kind of unreasonable. Gutting the current ending and replacing it isn't feasible, but adding content and choices for those willing to put in the effort is a great way to appease most parties involved. If Bioware wants to take the artistic stance of not changing their intended ending because their its their vision, they shouldn't pimp their DLC immediately after the ending. I've been of the opinion that you can't please everyone, but if you piss a lot of fans off you've made a huge misstep. And their stance as artists and storytellers is weakened simply because the ending is very awful.
I take games about as seriously as movies and books, which is to say that they are entertainment outlets with artistic expression. Games are pretty much the only storytelling medium that can be altered post-release, and I don't see why people are making the "what if Da Vinci blah blah post-release content Mona Lisa". The internet wasn't around back then and it wasn't a branching storyline that could easily incorporate new content.
I'm done with playing and hearing about Mass Effect 3 for a while. Maybe when they have an affordable DLC bundle, I'll play through again, but now I'm gonna go through Borderlands. Anyone have it on Xbox, because I have the GOTY edition with the raid boss and I rarely get to play coop.

Dude, the renegade options in ME3 are fucking demented, if you've done Samara's mission you know what I mean. How do you think this Renegade Shep compares to the other two games?

Johnny AMERICA wrote: I understand it's only been about a week and a half and I'm beyond sick of hearing about it. You keep hearing about it because that's how seriously awful it is and a fuckup of this magnitude warrants this kind of attention. This isn't a case of a bunch of people being dissatisfied because it's not a happy ending or they didn't get the answers to questions that don't matter, it's that the ending literally makes no sense, contradicts not only ME1 but ME3 (TWICE!!), and was written to be as vague as possible (in the words of Mac Walters, lead writer himself "LOTS OF SPECULATION FOR EVERYONE"). I'm all for artistic vision and I don't need a happy Hollywood ending to keep me satisfied, but when there's glaring evidence that the ending was written, animated, and voice acted in a week tops with NO PEER REVIEW it shows that almost zero effort was put into it. It stings to have put five years into playing the trilogy, being engrossed in the universe, being attached to the characters, buying the DLC, reading the books, then finally getting to the end-- an ending that smacks of "we don't care buy more of our shit okay". 99% of the Mass Effect trilogy is amazing but endings MATTER.
