SPOILERS
THE MEGAS ARE THE ONES BEHIND SUPER MARIO CROSSOVER. CASTLEVANIA IS NEXT. METROID AFTER THAT. ZELDA PREQUEL. CONTRA FINAL ALBUM. 7 YEAR HIATUS. THEN THEY'RE GOING TO SCOUR THE NET FOR THE BEST FANFICTIONS AND MAKE A FINAL REPRISE. NINTENDO MAKES IT CANON BY 2043.
Does it matter what they do next? You know we're going to buy the shit out of it anyway.
My only concern is what happens to this place? Does it turn into TheBelmonts.com? Do they change their name to The Belmonts and have to build new hype? I won't feel sad if they change over to something new because it's the same group of guys doing something awesome.

ChaoticFox wrote: As for the X stuff, TRC... When it comes to the Megas, I'm not particularly concerned with how much I like or dislike the source material, because they will make it awesome regardless. And X in general has a pretty awesome story that's just RIPE with potential (something we've already seen the Megas tap into way back in the day when this site had a "blog". Does it really matter that X2 and X3 have better music? Also, what's to stop them from going on to do an X2, 3, etc once it's done? It'd be nice to start from the beginning this time. I must have said something wrong because that wasn't what I meant. I meant, quite simply, that them NOT doing MMX1 is fine to me because I, personally, prefer the later music more. I didn't say it was better, most people would probably disagree with that anyway. Was just saying how my favorite X tunes and bosses are later on so them not doing X isn't a big deal to me, just me. And that's not to say I don't want them to do X (I do) but them pursuing any other project doesn't get me down. That's all I meant. And yeah Jay C, I kinda feel you there too. They could just let this be the home of both "bands". They could just name the CV album "The Belmonts" and keep their name, even. There's a lot they could do I suppose. But we have plenty of time.

I'm just gonna toss out there that I've been dying for them to get to MM4 ever since I first heard Get Equipped. For one simple reason: Skull Man. I absolutely love Skull Man's theme. (Thus elevating him to my favorite or at least tied for favorite Robot Master of all time, up there with Elec Man. Splash Woman's not too far behind, but that's another story entirely...) So one day hearing their interpretation of him and his theme...that's something I look forward to, heh. Now yes, I grant, if they branched out and did other things (Castlevania music? Now there's something ripe for some grand interpretation! And I haven't even really played any past CV2...god, The Megas doing Bloody Tears; I've gotta save that thought for later, there's so much epic potential there!), I'd be cool with it and probably be just as inclined to buy their albums of it. However, just being totally honest, I came for the Mega Man music, and that's what I'm staying for. And will wait for. Even if that means waiting a few albums into the future, as I'll be quite likely to buy those anyway just for that epic Megas style, heh. But yes, Skull Man and Cossack Stages 1. This is what I'm waiting for, and I hope, really hope, that The Megas will one day make it happen. (I mean yes, there are other tracks I find awesome...hell, my opinion, MM4 has the best soundtrack of all the NES games, yes, even edging out the legendary MM2 soundtrack, in my mind. Dust Man, Dive Man, Cossack Stages 2, Bright Man, Wily Stages 2...Ring Man, even. But for sure, Skull Man and Cossack Stages 1 are what I'd like to hear the most, someday.)
Though since MMX1 was mentioned, I'd be all for that too. Spark Mandrill! As well as Flame Mammoth, Storm Eagle, Sigma Stage 1, Zero's death, Sigma Stage 2, the final battle...yeah, lots of potential there, I think.

Contraband is great. The NESSERS. Nah, they all sound terrible. I'm just excited for them to pump anything new out.

NESSERS sounds a little like a Mother/Earthbound band, heh. Meet the Band Members! We have Happy Ness on guitar, Sad Ness on piano, Bitter Ness on drums, and of course on vocals, everyone's favorite, Mad Ness! (The puns, they would never end...)

Ohh, okay then, my bad. ...I feel even more ashamed now for the silly NESSERS comment, even if slightly unrelated to this. Heh.

I figured they would just make a "The Belmonts" subsection or some shit on these forums.

Damn. If this were YouTube, I could say "C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!!" and get like, ten thousand thumbs up on my comment for saying something totally predictable. But we're not on YouTube; I'm sure such lowbrow lameness is frowned upon. Um. Shit. I must think of something clever! ...C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!! ......I just failed. Goddammit. But "Contraband" still sounds like a cool name (even if it was for a show rather than a band name). I give points for cleverness there.
