^this. I was just mentioning that I had a good day. The 2 month anniversary was just casually auxillary to that.

Wow, was not expecting to be called out so harshly. May I just clarify a few things:

1. I know the strict meaning of 'anniversary'. It appears to me (from society) that the word has been adjusted colloquially to be valid with the prefix 'month' even though anni stems from the latin annus for year, at least for the first few months of a relationship. I'm not dumb, I very much know the meaning of the word. I was just using it how a whole lot of people I know use it colloquially.
2. It was also valentines day so my girlfriend thought it was cute to line it up with when we started dating. I went with it like a champ... or, apparently, like a chump.
3. I know full well I won't treat every monthiverssary as particularly special. But just look at any tiered ranking system. The intervals are closer at the earlier stages. Look at Megaforum 2.0 post rankings. Or Mikey's album kickstart. For the first few stages the critical points come at a higher frequency.
4. This is my first relationship. I'm glad to be in it and glad that it's gone for 2 months. I realize that that's not forever. I'm sorry I'm so... what was I called... 'pathetic' that I enjoy the fact that my FIRST relationship has lasted 2 months and that that lined up with Valentine's day.

Sorry to muck up the champ thread with my ineptitude. Just thought I should clarify the extent of my apparent chumpiness that has been brought up.

For what it's worth I never said anything like "pathetic." That was uberface being a big weird dick. I've always thought that making a big deal about any kind of relationship longevity earlier than 6 months is stupid. The fact that you happened to start going out exactly 2 months before valentine's day is a nice little coincidence, but there are people who act like 2 months of dating someone is the biggest fucking thing in their world and I've always thought that it was fucking stupid. I thought that's what you were doing at first, so my apologies.
