Alright, I know this discussion is probably going on all over the place, both in the fanbase and with the Megas themselves, but what are the Megas going to cover AFTER what they're doing now? I don't really see them going through all of the games because it would not only take forever, but a lot of the games don't have great music.
You know what does, though? Megaman 9. It's probably got most of my favorite songs in it after 2, and while I know that The Megas probably don't want to do the whole game, I'd love to hear them select a few songs from it and cover some of them. I imagine some of the songs would be hard to do. "I think I've heard this song... nine times before..." It would be hard to give Megaman the tenacity to keep going with how they've portrayed him.
I guess this is mainly just a thread to talk about what you'd like to see them do after MM3 and finishing MM1. And to pressure the band into doing more and more work at every opportunity.

I've heard them toss around the idea of doing MMX next. That's my vote.

As Johnny hinted, they have expressed interest in doing "The Belmonts" after MM3. I talked to Josh at BitGen about it, me and my friend love Castlevania music and he seemed really hyped about it. I'd say it's a good choice to give them a break from Mega Man.
Previously, Mega Man X and Mega Man 9 were both discussed or at least rumored. I like all the choices to be honest. If anything I wish The Megas would team up with OCR's Sir Jordanius and do a version of his "Smooth as Honey" from the Mega Man 9 album. I fucking love that tune.
But yeah. The Belmonts.

Belmonts gets my vote. Complete different tonality to Mega Man music. Would offer a challenge and make things less monotonous. TRUST ME

I'm not saying THE MEGAS are monotonous. I'm saying that Mega Man music is far too predictable at times. The Megas would probably be tired of working music that's similar into differing pieces.
The Belmonts would give a Tonality change that would spice things up. Castlevania music is different to Mega Man music. /Rant

The thing that makes X different is that it already HAS guitars and synths. When they were working with Square Waves it was all about interpretation... whereas X would be about arrangement. Two seperate things.

I wouldn't mind the Belmonts or Mega Man X, but I also wouldn't mind Mega Man 4. Even one song of mega man 4 every 3 months would be interesting.
