Year One is definitely one of my favourite Batman GN's, I'm pretty interested in the DVD.

Watch it.
Also, Hans Zimmer rules.

I'm a big fan of Surf Ninjas myself.

Also has anyone seen The Adventures of Tintin? If so was it any good?

I never saw the first one, but I just couldn't handle Sherlock. The story was cool, the action was cool, but the directorial style was just too frantic for me. I kept mentally screaming at the movie to slow the fuck down. Even the god damn slow-mo scenes are fuckin ADHD.

I get that that's sort of the point, but it still irritates me.

It's not so bad if you let yourself make fun of them the whole time. I like them all right, but boy are they fun to mock.

I did that with two chicks a week before I left.
Pretty awesome. But yeah, if you laugh and actually have watching the first 2-4 you enjoy them all better.

Chronicle was awesome. I know the found footage movies are getting kinda old now, but with how the telekinesis is thrown in, the camera is actually free floating by the early middle of the movie, allowing it to be more than another shaky camera film and open it up to basically any shot that a full blown action movie would have. I'm glad it doesn't really go into a super hero kinda movie and focuses on what you would realistically do if you all of a sudden had these powers. I would totally fuck with people the way they did in the movie. A lot of people freaked out when the live action Akira movie got canned, and I'm sorry if you're hoping for it to be picked back up some time down the road, but this movie pretty did what that movie could have been and then some. Nice movie to open up early 2012 to. Now, I'm going to go look for a buried alien crystal that will will make my nose bleed and give me telekinetic powers, though I'm sure I'll be fooled when I find out its actually crystal meth...*snort* ....guh...too late...

Turn it into a drinking game. I'm sure there's some out there.

Also saw The Woman in Black. Was expecting another new year horror movie to let me down like that horrible exorcism movie, but I was actually pretty scared throughout. There were some where it was just a big bang or something that just make you jump, but plenty of other times I was terrified. My date watched half of the movie with her eyes covered. And Daniel Radcliffe does a decent acting job as well. Nice to see he can break out of the stereotype everyone thinks can only do. Though it was funny to hear random Harry Potter references from the crowd like "Expelliarmus!!!" when she was coming after him. I seriously had to look that up because I'm not much of a Potter fan.

yeah some people complained that the beginning was slow but I actually enjoyed getting to know all the characters and seeing why the cousin loses it like he does. those bullies had it coming.
