Was this a common occurrence while I was gone, or is there some kind of weird connection between the new forums and spam-bots?

They've become more frequent since the new layout. Hope it's not some kind of weakness

We had some spam protection stuff installed on the old forums that probably didn't transfer to these. Thanks for fending me off Jay C, I'm looking into it.

I've installed another capcha layer. But it doesn't seem to be working. For now just enjoy the hilarity. We'll get it fixed.
