I'm very glad you posted your recording Moonflow, but there's no sense in listening because it's mostly static.
If I lived on the west coast, I'd be recording this shit AND slidin' it onto youtube right away. We'd do that if we WANTED you guys to have Snakeman spoiled for you... if it was up to us, we'd rather most of the songs to be a surprise when you first get the album! We played a different new song back at the California Extreme Expo (and the other shows on that tour) and were very pleased to see it not show up on youtube Not that we don't want you guys to post stuff, it's just nice when stuff slips through the cracks sometimes!
That's so...lame... I'd say you're ruining your own hype.
On another note, are you mocking me? lol

I'd say releasing half of a record on the Internet before it comes out does more to weaken hype.

Well I hope for the Megas' sake that less advertising produces more fans/customers. If it were up to me, I'd be all about spreading how awesome the music is on the "internets".

The best way to get loyal fans is to get them on this forum. We all bought get acoustic on itunes, but i bet most of us are buying it again in physical form because we love and respect them. It's our obligation to bring more fans to the megas army!!!

I'm sure when the album is closer to coming out, the megas will probably put one or two songs out there to spread awareness and get the word out about the MM3 album, but they've already said multiple times they don't want another situation like Get Equipped where by the time the album comes out there's only one or two songs that people haven't heard yet.

Hey Greg, you don't have to give this a definitive number but if I recall correctly, there's 20-30 something songs.
If this is so, they've got a lot still left to put out and surprise us with. For the older fans, we did have basically the entire album when it was released. A lot of us, as Gergus said, have bought multiple copies of the albums and continue to shell out money for their future projects. Releasing the entire album, while spreading their music, doesn't bring in the cash that they need to continue as a band. Yes we get some exclusives but those also go up for general sales.

The only reason I come to these forums is to see what new stuff The Megas are up to and hopefully find some new content. Now that I know they are intentionally trying to hold new content back until release gives me no reason to come to the forums anymore.
I know some of you forum goers won't be displeased with my disappearance, but Megas, you're going to have less traffic on your website. I'll check the main page every so often for possible MM3 ablum release dates, but I'm not holding my breath. You've already made it quite clear that you probably won't have it done until late December/early January. With that being said, there's no reason to come to your website anymore (for me anyway) if there's no new songs being released.

I'm an entitled prick. Since you're not giving me what I want I'm going to throw a hissy fit. kthxbye
Oh no. 1 less view per week. How will The Megas ever get their website paid for without all of this traffic?
Guys we need to get a lot more people in here to make up for our loss! STAT!

Well, this has been an interesting thread that I haven't looked at recently cuz I thought nothing was going on in here.
I could do a multiquote thing, but I'm feeling WAAAAAAY too lazy right now. So instead I'll list out what I think.
1. I'm with Comm and JC. Hell yeah waiting!!! I spoiled 3 songs and spoiled them hard. But I'm fine with that, whetted my appitite. But I can't wait to have 19 new Megas tracks dropped on me all at once.
2. Answered that with the last one, but the most recent track number I've heard was 22. And that was in that Nitro Game Injections interview. So, not that long ago, but I could be outdated with that number.
3. Greg, you're my hero. I'm glad you want to force us to be spoiler light. I'm always one for limited spoilers; know what's coming out but keep the sweet details unknown. I'm glad that in this case, that latter part doesn't come down to sheer willpower on my part (Take THAT, Pokemon B&W. I was unspoiled for the pokemon! Hard thing to do, keeping away from spoilers). It's much easier on my end to not have the spoilers even there.
4. Majin, I think you misinterpreted the purpose of the forum. It's not so much a front for free megas info, updates, etc (See: Twitter or Facebook), nor is it the podcast. Specifically, the forum is utilized for contact between Megas fans. Yes, the Megas pay attention to us and we can contact them here, and that's all fun and dandy. But the forum isn't for exclusive music and such, it's for us fans to connect and talk about The Megas or whatever else is our fancy. Hopefully, that clears it up a little.
5. Just thinking about the fact that snakeman has been played makes me excited. Can't wait to here it on the album!!!
And Megas: I was sorry to hear about your stolen merch: hopefully it doesn't hit your financials too hard

remember these guys are in the entertainment industry. they studied this shit in college and they're obviously succeslful (just check out their vids on the vevo stuff on youtube). they're not dumb and they know how to sell themselves. just abandoning them is just a show of your lack of loyalty to everything great with video games, just jumping on the next bandwagon. i'm disappointed that someone would threaten their membership to get one more song out on the internet, but if that's your choice, so be it. we'll still be here as we always are, being the megas community that is full of life and awesome threads.

My god. Please don't pull a me and forget your keys here.
You've become quite the twat. Bands work SO hard to actually make material.
I would know, I'm in... like... a billion.
But also, The Megas are trying to hold it back so that when the album comes out we practically blow our minds at all the cool parts and don't have it spoiled for us.
If you want to be a spoiled brat, you're doing a damn good job at it.

Gergus, in one of their more recent podcasts, they said the band was in debt. Take that as you will for success. I'm not abandoning anyone, I simply have no reason to visit the website. I'll get the same info out of the twitter or facebook page that I would out of these forums. As for their advertising, I hope you have fun having conversations with people like Ubergamers and Comm.BA, because that's all you're ever like to see.
There's a slim few of you on these forums that actually have intelligent discussion. I doesn't matter who you praise or how many bands your in, it doesn't make you smart.
I wish I could help The Megas advertise because I like them so much. There's two sides to every coin, those who like spoilers and those who dislike them. If you dislike listening to live recordings and "spoiling" a perfect studio release, then don't watch the posted videos. As for the rest of us, we thrive on updates and love to see what's happening next. If I could have been at Jamspace, I would have, but my work schedule and inability to fly there stopped me from seeing new content that is technically "released". Alas, there's no way for me to view the new stuff, so why bother coming here is my point.
