I'M SO EXCITED. WHO'S WITH ME.

Try to look at a list of announced games for that thing and try not to find something to be excited for. Throw in glasses-free 3D, augmented reality and the other shit-ton of features it has and I have a huge megaboner for that thing so hard that viagra is studying this shit. Every day I see something about the 3DS that makes me smile or just go "oh wow." I can't stop thinking about it, and this SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY can't come soon enough.

Anyone else picking one up on launch?

I'm gonna wait until the newer, smaller, cheaper 3DS comes out.

Well, since I work in game retail I've had it reserved for months. I have like 150 left on it...I may as well get it. Nothing really killer coming out on launch day. but according to my manager they mean it when they say it's going to be a very limited first run. Even more so then the Wii was. Japan apparently completely sold out of every 3ds is the country in hours when it launched. Idk how true that is, just an email we got.

I'll probably get Nintendogs(come on), Pilotwings, and SF4

They've said they aren't going to be introducing a revision console for a long time, but if you want to miss out, miss out!

The launch lineup really isn't the strongest, but looking back at any console, no launch lineup is. It has a killer lineup coming out even just this year though, what with the Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, Starfox, Zelda, Paper Mario and shit. I'm so PUMPED URGH

I'm going to get SSF4, because I've been interested in that game for awhile, but never cared enough to go buy a PS360, Pilotwings (because I LOVE Island Flyover in WSR) and maybe Steel Diver.

Even without a good launch title, this thing has all sorts of shit jam-packed into it that I am ready to buy one. The AR stuff has been blowing my mind for months now, and every time I see something new on it, I'm even more blown away. AR shot is ridiculously cool, AR fishing turns your table into a pond for you to fish in, and AR shot is just mind-blowing as well. Add in the Streetpass RPG "Find Mii" with unlockable stuff for your Miis, the 3D effect, the cameras, the other packed in game and I'm sold.

I'll have to add you, CDinkel, and lose to you in SSF4.

I've thought long and hard about this...

It first off will be more convenient for me to buy it during the summer. I have a gift card to best buy that will cover the 3DS, but I don't have a best buy near my College. Secondly, all the games I want (almost all first party games) are coming out June 2nd ish. So I will probably try to nab my 3DS at the end of May when I'm back home. Hopefully I can get one =\, that's my main concern.

But in terms of hype, I AM SO EXCITED. This thing is big. Kid Icarus Uprising? Paper Mario? Animal Crossing? Mario Kart? This summer is going to be GREAT. I've got Pokemon Black and college level homework to fill me until the summer, then I will have unleashed all sorts of awesome.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg. I've just been reading my Nintendo Power that gets shipped to home (instead of campus, where it'd be jammed in a PO box). And, I came across something very interesting. In an interview with Reggie Fils-Aime, he made the following statement in regards to first party games: "So far, we've identified those first party titles that will arrive during our "launh window" between the March 27th Launch and E3 (which begins June 7th). But please understand - this is just the tip of the iceberg. You'll be hearing details on a lot more in the near future"

So, accroding to this, we only know of a small portion of games that will soon be coming out for 3DS... and we've already got such great ones for the June 2nd portion of it. I am so stoked.

I only hope I nab a 3DS before June 2nd...

Of course they said that, it'd be pretty bad marketing to say you'll have a newer smaller version a year or so down the road before the system is actually released yet.
I'm pretty sure a few months before the DS lite was announced they said something similar about there being no plans for a new version of the DS when asked about it.

Pretty true, but I'm glad I didn't wait to get a DS Lite and not have a DS for that year and however long it was after it came out. To each his own!

I'm gonna buy it.

Probably play some video games on it.

If a smaller one comes out, I'll probably get kinda mad, I guess, but won't buy it.
