Well, everyone's already said 'hello' to me, so it's either time to change the topic or let the thread die.
Also, Doc Robot is hard in Quick Man form because Quick Man is the best Robot Master of the first three games.

That would only be 9 or 2 with persisting shields. Jewel Shield would persist through enemies unless they were "tougher." You could speed run through levels much easier with that item. I also believe that there was a Weapon Energy Converter that you could buy in the shop so that once your shield energy was full it would start filling the lowest weapon as well. With 2 you had to stand still and get the enemy to fly to you. I remember that Crash Man's level was good for this but you could only fill your Leaf Shield energy.

The first stage of Wiley Castle also kinda worked; you had those infinitely spawning worm-things that tended to die right next to you, instead of on top of you, so a bit of quick changing let you recharge everything. Still, E-Balance items in later games were a godsend, and I would not trade them for anything. Except maybe the ability to slide forever. Or a dollar.

Jay C. 3D Okkusenman was awesome. As well as Duane & BrandO's MM2
I feel like a n00b for just playing through the MM games not knowing these mad tips. I just... play. From what you guys say it's a miracle I ever beat MM9.

Yeah, god what a noob. I mean, I learned all of these tips by myself, without using any kind of guide or help of any kind. And, sure, I may have skipped most of 3, but whatever, I like 4 better anyway. And the only reason I haven't beaten that one is because it has the hardest boss ever conceived.

The only thing I knew of pretty much everything you guys have said was sliding under Proto. I learned that a few weeks ago and I said to myself. "I am a golden god." Reminding me. Super Meat Boy gets hard once you want to 100% it....
