An ex that I was trying to get back with told me about a guy she was seeing while she was on winter break. It wouldn't have bothered me that much, I can take that kind of rejection, but she told me they had sex. I was alright with it when she told me, but then a few hours after she left, all I could picture was this dude with his hands all over her. Couldn't sleep a fucking wink that night and had to write a song to get it out of my head. It lasted for days. I also knew the guy too. So in other words, don't do that.

Self-confidence has always been an issue for me. And I know what you're getting at with "sack up with some confidence", but intangible advice through a colloquial filter doesn't register with me. Ever. I was skyping with my cousin last night and he actually gave me some things to live by.

-Treat parties like they take place in an 80's rock video.
-Ignore the consequences of your words and actions*. People have short memories, especially when they're young and drunk.
-Feeling awkward is often a choice.
-Think happy thoughts.

It's fucked up, but most women have little to no self confidence or esteem. A lot of times, it's either I ask the stupid question or I just hold it in and let it bother and chew at me for the rest of the day. At least I'm being honest about it? Would you really rather we not ask at all? I'm genuinely curious.
