Upon completion of highschool (or whatever it is in New Zealand. Shepherding school?) life gets 100% better. Then when you're old enough to buy alcohol, even better. Then there's marriage, children, philosophical crisis, alienating your loved ones, communing with nature through the use of mushrooms, salvaging your marriage, sending your kids off to pursue their dreams, cheating on your wife with an impressionable copywriter, divorce, alcoholism, joining the merchant marines and ultimately dying alone as a salty seacaptain.

So there's this girl that I like that I work with at Wally Greens. I like her and she just broke up with her boyfriend because he wasn't taking care of himself. The only problem is they still live with each other. If anyone's followed me on the current events page, they know that I've dealt with the same difficulties and given in to the friends with benefits in the end. How do I somehow convince here this isn't the right guy? BTW we never had sex after that we just fooled around. I'm really infatuated with this girl and have kept from expressing my feelings because she was already taken. How long should I wait before I try to make a move and how long should I wait before I express my true feeling towards her? We're not in the same department so I'm not too worried about getting shit from my boss.

Okay new problem. I've hinted that I'm interested in her and she's cool with me, but now I have a BIG problem. One of our managers is interested in her too. He's a fucking body builder, always has a fohawk, drives a fucking hummer and seems like a regular frat boy. Now, I'm fit, but I'm not fucking ripped either. He's a cool guy and all, but just the way he talks about how he uses women is fucking disgusting. I had the chance to talk to her at my house for a another co workers birthday, but had to be gone for quite some time to talk someone out of driving home drunk because her crazy husband thought she was fucking me at my one bedroom apartment with 8 other people there, and it's a small apartment. One of my co workers said she was texting him the whole time at the party. I feel like now I have nothing to lose. Valentines day is coming up and my plan is to show up at work with my guitar, play her the song I wrote and ask her to be my valentine. I don't want to lose her to some macho asshole and if she's already at this point is it too late? The song thing has worked before for me on multiple occasions and I feel that showing her that I care about her a lot will win her over and hopefully he'll be there as well and maybe back off. Bad idea?

I meant he's okay to work with. I don't give a fuck at this point if I get moved to a different store because I'm interested in her, this isn't right and she doesn't deserve to be used like that.
