Square, you should have put Auron and Jecht into Dissidia. Justified it any way you wanted, but dammit, AURON. Not Tidus.) If anyone hopped the fence after playing FFX, it was because of Jecht. But who could blame them?

There is nothing at all practical about any of the newer costume designs in the FF series. ESPECIALLY 10, lol. Even the boys look stupid there, so it's not really a sexist thing XD
EDIT FOR JT: Yes, there are some pretty cool exceptions.
JT, I'll check out that link. Maybe I'm just too derp to point out the plot holes (admittedly a bit harder to do when you're not watching the whole thing straight and said story is segmented off by gameplay), but I didn't have any problems with it. I'll see if that opinion remains after reading your article.
As for the gameplay, it was advertised as being pretty Ninja Gaiden-y, but it's really not. For the most part it feels like a classic Metroid game with just a tad more focus on shooting than tricky platforming. It's no game of the year, but it's a ton of fun. The dodge thing is a ton of fun, even if it does make the game a bit "easy", and the grabs aren't even a necessary part of gameplay. Maybe you'll get bored like Cowbox did, but I thought the experience was fun enough to go through twice. Hard mode definitely proves that normal mode was a pinch too easy, and while it ramps up the difficulty enough to give you a run for your money, it does rob you of the fun "collecting" aspect of the Metroid games.

When we got home I started looking online and found the same rings on Newegg for $40 each, but she refused to get them off Newegg. She wouldn't give a reason and refused to get them anywhere other than a jeweler. I thought maybe she thought I was being cheap with a symbol of our love, but when I asked her about that she laughed and said that if we could find rings for $40 at a jeweler she would be fine getting them there. What's the deal with this? I don't know what to say about this. I'm ALL about sales. I'd be pissed if some guy spent over 100 bucks on an engagement ring for me. That money could go to a nice dinner or something. I mainly just want something pretty that doesn't turn my finger green. A lot of women have the "ideal wedding" thing going on in their heads. Some way more than others. Maybe the fact that it came from a local jeweler has sentimental value to her? She can go past that place in the future and think back on it. Maybe she's not convinced that the one online isn't a cheap knock off? I don't know enough about the situation to just be like "She's a money grubbing whore that just wants you to prove you love her with money!" If it still bothers you after a day, talk it out. Bring up what the two of you could do with the money saved or ask why it being from a bargain site is such a bad thing... TL;DR: I can see why some women would be bothered by the idea of their engagement ring coming from a bargain site (it's stupid, but I'm sure that's how some see it) but if you guys are genuinely trying to save money it might be a good idea to bring up how practical it is to get it from there (NOTE: Don't bring up how impractical it is for her to insist on a jeweler. That's a fight waiting to happen) ChaoticFox wrote: There is nothing at all practical about any of the newer costume designs in the FF series. ESPECIALLY 10, lol. . Square is know for their ABUNDANCE of (impracticable and futuristic) clothes, not their lack of. So I see the frilly bow arm things falling into that catagory, but the wired bikini top and thong? Just the costume change from FFX Rikku to FFX2 is sad. I thought her FFX outfit was cute and fitting for her. It doesn't bother me that they're there and I'm seeing some hot seksi bodeh, it just irks me that it's out of character. If Rikku was a obviously sexy character in demeanor, I'd have no qualms. But she's not. I even think the booty shorts on FFX2 Yuna are out of character. She comes off as so modest. Ya know?... yes, I know I'm over thinking all this, but oh well. IDKMAN, Imma just go in a chill corner now.

yeah, wasn't really defending that, just using it as a launching pad to bash Square's costume designers further because FUCK YOU TIDUS, WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU WEARING A BASKETBALL NET ON YOUR ARM. GET A JOB.

Tidus had his pair of pants and shorts do the fusion dance, as well.

Most of the outfits in FF13 are reasonable, with little Nomura-esque touches, such as Lightning's shoulder cape thing. But that game sucked, so there you go.

In regard to the story, if I could turn that part off or be able to skip every cut-scene then I'd have no complaints.

There was always a game that I played that baffled the shit out of me when it came to female armor. Now I know that there's way less practical outfits out there, but this one just bugged the hell out of me. Why in the holy mother of Christ is she covered in a decent amount of armor except for her chest!? One fucking arrow and it's game over.

Yeah, I guess you explained that one pretty well.
What is an ideal dream wedding for a woman?

Oh wow. I'm not familiar with that game, but that's kinda hilarious. My shoulders are protected, but my heart? Nah. I need to show them what I'm working for. Cowbox wrote: because boobies Boobies are no fun if they're just out in the open. What is an ideal dream wedding for a woman? That honestly varies between every woman. I've never met two women who had the same ideal wedding plans. I think as long as the person they love is there then they're happy. AS FOR ME: Cheap, quick, small and free food. Yep. That's about it.

I figured I'd get that answer. Maybe Megette will chime in and we'll see how much they differ. Also, why do women take so many more pictures than guys? Whenever I see one of my female friends face book pages, they have like three times more than I have. Maybe we're just forgetable and never pull out our cell phones to take a quick pic. I know I've been pissed at myself that I didn't take pictures when I'm hanging out with friends or have really memorable moments.
ps. And by the way, that game was 99 Nights.
