I'm Galax - I've gone by that for...a very long time now. I got my start in gaming...hm. I think the first game I played was...
...I don't really know actually. It's been too long. It might've been on the SNES, in which case it would have been Super Metroid, perhaps, or one of the Mario Bros games, or Donkey Kong Country. Those are the best bets. I got started with Megaman later, when we got a Playstation 1 and Megaman X4. If it hadn't been for Battle Network, I'd probably envision the face of the franchise as X in the Ultimate Armor...not the Gaea, the navy blue/black one that doesn't have a terrible charge shot. As it is, though, Megaman.EXE - in any form - is my first thought when someone says "Megaman." Very often with no style/soul unison/whatever, just charging his buster and shooting mets. I suppose I'm rambling a bit...
I like to read. So much that I managed to break a book into several chunks of pages because I'd read it so often it simply fell out of the cover. If left to myself with a bookshelf nearby - and any titles I haven't read on it - you can bet at least one of them will be discarded on the floor when you see me next, with another one in my lap. I'm ADHD, which proves to be a pain when I'm playing, say, Harvest Moon: A New Beginning and need to check something on the internet; I'll get distracted, forget that the 3DS has a terrible battery life, and end up playing Minecraft for a few hours before I realize the thing is sitting in front of me, dead, and I didn't save. It's also worth noting that I'm an aspie - for those that don't know what that means, I have Aspergers Syndrome; The social side of it especially. Probably won't notice it as much here, with screens between any and all communications, but it's there. To quote wikipedia, "Anxiety may stem from preoccupation over possible violations of routines and rituals, from being placed in a situation without a clear schedule or expectations, or from concern with failing in social encounters;". That's a perfect excerpt for how I work, particularly about failing. Probably wondering by now where I'm heading with this.
The answer? I dunno. Isn't that what introductions are for? Describing and...introducing yourself? So...er...yes. The above. It seemed...I dunno. Prudent? I guess so. Prudent to put up. Yes, I do type like I'm conversing sometimes; I'm sure you've noticed. :/
Other than...the mess above, I love - and hate - music. I love it because I grew up around it, what with being part of a family of six. I was raised around piano, flute, guitar, saxaphone, classic music on the car radio, jazz on the music channels, and the ever present singing and practicing for directing and acting in plays. My brother got me into bands like Metallica and Avenged Sevenfold - there's a rough four year difference in our ages - when I was rather young. One of the greatest joys in gaming for me is a good soundtrack, coupled with a decently written storyline. I can overlook bad controls and weird graphical glitches if I have a nice tune to battle or run around to, and even moreso with a good storyline to immerse myself in. What's a game without music? In my opinion, probably not worth playing.
Speaking of music, I've listened to the majority of the music The Megas wrote - at least what I found. I'm not ashamed to admit I shed a tear for Blues when I listened to the MAGFest version of "I'm not the Breakman"; I unfortunately had to find a recorded variety on YouTube, having been unable to attend.
So....yeah. Hi. How is everyone. Sorry if I textwall'd you. If you read all that, have a cookie, the tray's right over ther-- dammit someone stole them.
Have BadTranslator's take on some of The Megas' lyrics instead. Original text:
"Welcome to my level, my name is Metal Man, I throw Metal Blades from my Metal Hands."
...18 translations later, Bing gives us:
"Welcome to my level. My name is Tom. We have a human side of the metal"
Apparently, Metalman is named Tom. Well, thank you very much for that 'insight', BT.
EDIT: Oh yeah I forgot, I said I hate music. Well sometimes I do; It's because growing up around so much music, you get it stuck in your head. It's immensely frustrating to have Airman's theme start playing in your head only to get interrupting by something from Phantasy Star Online then have that trail off into memories of how annoying Olga Flow was to beat and then to hear his battle theme which drops into Bubbleman which goes to Promise of Redemption and then Continue and randomly some Dream Theater and it's a mess.

Welcome to the army. One of my best friends has Aspergers Syndrome. Seems pretty rough. I think he mostly has the slower processong mind of the condition. he had a hard time in High School. he wasn't diagnosed till his last year I think. He's obsessed with technology. Sits at the computer all day learning new things about computers. He used to be not so great socially but he's got on some meds that help. Hope you have a great time here. We only have one rule here. Don't talk shit about Street Fighter 2.

Galaxyman came after I did; If anything, Galaxyman is me in disguise, not...oh well I guess it comes to the same thing now that I think about it.
And I've never played Street Fighter. Any of them. I don't know enough to praise or criticize any of the games. :/

Don't get me started on a rant with SEGA right now. That would be a very bad idea. I played PSU360 for nearly all of it's six years and I'm STILL not over the injustice and content release slowdown SoA stuck us with and WHERE THE HELL IS MY HIROKTERI I'M EQUIPPING MASEI-SOU AND SHOOTING SOME SEGA EMPLOYEES.

Okay. He's not Galaxy Man. Or he somehow shed his entire lifestyle in order to truely trick us. Which I could easily believe.

Cue Galaxy Man calling Galax and doing a Taken-inspired "I will find you" speech. And finding him.

I'm sorry but I think it just might, considering all that it has fucked up.
