Although I still have a craving for it every once in awhile and get on BYOND to play some Duel Monsters Online with a buddy of mine.

So only people online can have interesting decks? I visit websites. I see decklists. Hell, I'd go so far to say that one of my decks and two I'm planning are pretty creative.
Besides, at least four of my friends are pretty big MTG fanatics. I've seen hundreds of decks by just playing them.

I've played a bunch off and on since high school, but never seriously. I still have all my cards, but I've shifted to Upper Deck's Vs. System recently, for something a little less swamped in competition. Oddly enough, my small corner of the world is full of pro Magic players, including a friend of mine who is on the Chinese national team, Wu Jia.
I think the most fun times I've had with the game is on campus with friends. We had a row of tables at the rec center where we'd play massive chaos games pretty much every day. Unfortunately, the very sight of people playing Magic in public drew a lot of douchebags with cards sitting around in their closets. One of my favorite decks was built to chase some of these people off. It was an Unglued/Unhinged highlander, with all the usual wacky interactions. I can't tell you how many free drinks I've milked out of unsavory individuals the following:

Yes, but they start losing life first.
It'll run some discard spells to make sure they don't have a hand when that goes off, and a couple strong creatures or control spells to deal with what's already in play.

Way back when I played Yu-gi-oh I had a combo very similar to that. It took like 5 cards though so I couldn't do much else
