Hey guys. I'm about to start working again which means I'm going to be playing more games again. I'd like to know which DS games you think I absolutely need to play. Let's start talking.

I hope you like JRPGs.
Final Fantasy Tactics A2 - If you enjoyed Advance then you'll probably dig this one too. I prefer it a little but they're both good. Chrono Trigger - Worth owning because it's, in my opinion, the best version of the game. Includes the PSX animations but not the abysmal loading times, as well as an updated translation. The additional dungeon, boss, and ending all suck, but the core game is still amazing. The DS Castlevanias - I've only played Portrait of Ruin but it was good, and everyone says Dawn of Sorrow and Order of Ecclesia are good too. Portrait seemed pretty easy based on what I played, and everyone says Ecclesia is super hard. Digimon World DS - If you ever played Digimon World 3 on PSX, this takes a lot of inspiration from that. Pretty grind-y unless you use cheats. Dragon Quest 5 - Fuck. So good. Dragon Quest Heroes Rocket Slime - Kind of a weird game. Might be worth looking up videos of because it's super hard to explain. Ghost Trick - GOTY 2011 Advance Wars Dual Strike - Not to be confused with Days of Ruin, which wasn't that great. Kirby - Self explanitory. Mega Man ZX/ZX Advent/Zero Collection - If you're into those. I would have played more of them if my DS didn't have a busted L button. Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story - Mario RPG, pretty much guaranteed to be awesome. Pokemon HG/SS/Plat./Black/White - It's Pokemon. You know if you want to play Pokemon or not by now. Jump Ultimate Stars - Never got an English release, although there's a translated rom out there. Definitely worth playing, I enjoyed the hell out of it. Ace Attorney - It's kind of cliche'd at this point to recommend them. I don't know if you've played them yet, if not then fucking get on it.
There's probably more but I'm eating dinner so fuck it.

Gonna try to avoid remakes and obvious stuff (because durr play nintendo games on a nintendo ya dummy)
Retro Games Challenge Dragonball Attack of the Saiyans (DBZ RPG with a battle system similar to Mario & Luigi takes place from late dragonball up through the saiyan saga) Ninja Gaiden DS (100% touch controlled and not annoying, I know, crazy right?) Jump Ultimate Stars (anime smash bros) Devil Survivor 1 or 2 (Pokemon meets Final Fantasy Tactics) Henry Hatsworth Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2
I know you're all anti capcom stuff now, but the ace attorney games are really worth playing.

Rhythm Heaven - Simple, fun rhythm game with some sweet jams. Meteos - Came out pretty soon after the DS launched; still the best puzzle game available for it. Surprisingly good sound design for a game about matching colored blocks. Sonic Rush - Simple, fun Sonic game with some sweet jams. WarioWare: Touched! - Not as good as WarioWare: Twisted! [aka the best GBA game], but still really good.

Johnny AMERICA wrote: busted L button Just blow into it. Sounds stupid but it works. Place your mouth completely over the L button and blow. Worked for me and I'm pretty sure it worked for jigger too. Oh, also: Picross 3D because puzzle games are awesome also it's dirt cheap.

It does work, but only for like... a minute. Then it stops working again.

Any of the Pokemon Mystery Dungeons are worth your time, if you haven't played them already. Since it seems like there are a lot of other suggestions right now, I'll just leave it at that. Just wanted to pipe in for PMD

Actually yeah. I second that. PMD is incredibly good. It's quite surprising. The music is really awesome too.
