I was mad at Capcom before for all their shitty practices, but now... I'm just fuming.

Man I even have access to a PS3 now and I think this is bullshit. It's one thing to have Cole from Infamous as an exclusive character but no Marcus Fenix for 360, or whatever the fuck, but they now have FIVE exclusives, two of which aren't even Playstation exclusive characters. Granted another two are stupid little gimmick characters that are just clones of Ryu and Kazuma, but whatever.

Yet they can't put an actual Megaman in MvC3 or its DLC or its same-year sequel or ITS DLC. Fuck them. I don't even know if I'm going to buy Revelations anymore. Fuck you, Capcom.

Yeah I was excited about this when you mentioned Cole was in it, but then I watched these videos. Now I kind of want to throw myself into traffic.

MM1 box art Megaman? Hell yeah

Well guys - I do agree that Capcom has been making some frustrating and odd decisions - but one thing to keep in mind here is that SONY pays for the exclusivity of these characters, Capcom just accepted the money, I think that's a smart move on their part and helps fund their games.

Thinking about other companies like Square who never makes the games anyone wants (FF7 Remake instead of FF13-2) and I think we should be glad that Capcom does listen to the fans to an extent.

Think about Mega Man 9 and 10, the fact that they got MVC3 even made with the difficulties in licensing from Marvel - and games like Bionic Commando Rearmed and its sequel. And they keep trying new things with the Resident Evil series - not always what we want, but they are trying to keep it relevant at least - and RE6 looks like a cool action game, maybe we want Survival Horror, but I think we can still be happy with a good action game.

The thing that I really hate from Capcom is the overpriced costume packs and lack of modes in the games they make - not the exclusivity deals or character choices.

Capcom is to blame for just about every shitty decision they make. MM9 and 10 were good, but since then, they've pretty much said "fuck you" to Megaman fans at every opportunity.

It's no miracle MVC3 was made, it's the third one. They make a good fighting game and release a new one right away, this time so early that it came out the same year, then had the gall to charge a high fee for character costumes and palette swaps. They couldn't put Megaman in the first game? Not the DLC, not the "sequel" or its DLC. He's cockteased on the background of one stage, the ending for one character (as well as Proto, Beat, Roll, etc), Frank West gets a costume in UMVC3 of Megaman and Zero gets an X palette swap, but we can't have one Megaman.

Not even one new game. They had fans creating things for their game, canceled it because they weren't getting enough things submitted for the game, and then wouldn't sell the rights to Inafune so he could finish it with his own company, since they have no interest in doing anything with it. Cancel Megaman Universe, too. They've even said they don't think Megaman is very popular in the US. They have no idea what they're doing.

And Square has recently addressed why they aren't doing a FF7 remake. They don't believe it holds up.

Chances are even if they did remake FF7 it wouldn't be as good as the original and people would just trash them for attempting to remake it.

Maybe so- but I am not buying FF13 - or FF13 2. If they re made FF7 I'd buy that to at least check it out and get some nostalgia. Their fans want it - it would make them tons of cash... I don't see the problem.

Even if it wasn't 'as good' the old one is so dated now that I can barely bring myself to look at it.

People here have been kind of extreme with the Capcom hate lately, but they're still basically taking every opportunity they can to flip the bird to Mega Man fans now for some reason. Stuff like having five console-exclusive characters and the myriad of other issues with SFxT IMMEDIATELY AFTER the whole MvC3/UMvC3 debacle (which admittedly wasn't entirely their fault) isn't exactly helping their reputation either.

FF 13-2 is gonna be sweet.
Plus FF7 is actually balls. There's some fun there... but it's in the minority.
Go play FF5 or FF6.

I can understand being pissed about their exclusivity, but the youtube comments on these gag characters are more along the lines of "RUINED FOREVER". Seriously? SERIOUSLY? Since when do people get PISSED OFF about gag characters in fighting games?

Problem is that it's not even Bad Box Art. I totally get the reference, but bad box art does not have massive beer gut of obesity. This mega man iteration literally looks and sounds dumb. Worse than Bad Box Art.

Worse box art megaman is not good as the only iteration of Megaman recently, given circumstances. Bad Box Art Megaman in Universe was amazingly funny, because it wasn't the only option; you had a true mega man in there.

I understand fully that this was planned out a year ago with Inafune and does not say anything about "fucking up/ruining" megaman in the future. But they did go and make a megaman iteration that's worse than Bad Box Art, and that's pretty damn hard.
