Mine would be survival horror (Resident Evil, Dino Crisis, Silent Hill, Clock Tower, Sweet Home, etc.), though I also like platformers (Megaman, Castlevania, Metroid, Ninja Gaiden, etc.) and RPGs (Final Fantasy, Chrono, Dragon Quest, Earthbound, etc.).

Survival Horror isn't even a genre anymore, every single survival horror game has turned into an action game recently. I think the only one that could actually call itself that this gen is the Silent Hill remake for wii, and that fucking sucked so much.
This thread is now about how much you miss survival horror games.
Remember how cool it was when you found out RE2 and 3 were happening at the same time?

9 times out of 10 I talk to my mates about RPGs. Lately I've been Pokémon-ing more than usual.

Agreed, CSotN is one of the greatest games ever. Super Metroid is also one of my top 10 SNES games.

I never got what people didn't understand about that, it's like you gotta be retarded to not be able to get that.
What confuses me even more is when people say RE4 has much better controls, when in actuality it handles the exact same as previous RE games, the only difference being the over the shoulder camera, which is impossible in the older games with static pre rendered enviroments.
