See also: Steamworks and PS3 functionality. Steam Cloud. And somewhere off in the distant future Half Life 2 Episode Three.

I think at this point Episode 3 is probably scrapped, and what they had was probably put towards HL3.

I would think they'd build a new engine for it, but I really hope they pick up with Episode 2 leaves off.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking too. Especially with how dated the Source Engine is getting.

My fucking Bad Company CD Key isn't working, and Steam Support is taking their sweet time getting back to me. I think I'm gonna have to side with Thorax on this one.

Apparently that's a problem for a lot of people. I wouldn't really know a whole lot about it but I just thought I'd let you know you're not alone.

see you paid for a game and now you can't play it. what if it was like that for all your games which is what itll be like if steam ever goes out of business. this is why i don't use steam

You're also being paranoid and stupid. The games are on your fucking computer. That's what downloading means.
It's like if you bought some mp3's on Amazon or bandcamp and you were worried if they went out of business (guess what, they won't) they'd still be yours. If I'm offline, I can still play Super Meat Boy, Back to the Future, World of Goo, or any of the other 15 games that I got off Steam for dirt cheap.
I also tried onlive today. It's pretty cool, but my connection causes too much gameplay lag. I'll wait until I move out to see if I should buy any games on it.
Also, you keep supporting you belief with the thought that Valve could go out of business in the foreseeable future. At this point, it's more likely that Sony would go ass-up.
