What's all this about Video Game Accomplishments? Or am I just losing it?

Well, considering that 90% of his boss-machines are built with that as a base, I basically consider it the source of the fail.

the egg carrier! he had a backup for no reason in SA1, and had a whole fleet of them in heroes, makes so little sense.

Yeah, but if he didn't use that as the base and he messed up his next robot it would end his life. At least with the Egg Mobile he can get away if something he makes backfires. Plus, considering the vast range of stuff he's built with that as a base, it seems like the thing's possibilities are endless; he just needs to make something smart over it.

Just today I got the Halo 3 graduate achievement. I've been playing the game since the day it came out like two years ago now, and they just now decided that I've earned 5 exp or played 10 matches

Ok starting with the old school...
- I felt that beating Super Mario Bros.3 back in the day in 1 sitting (without the use of warp whistles) was an achievement.... especially as i got it on release so cheats and stuff weren't heavily publisised (plus no GameFAQs.com easymode lol).
- I also remember that I felt really proud when i eventually beat Yellow Devil (or Clayman as i used to call him when i was a kid) in Mega Man 1 without using the Elec beam pause glitch (which I never knew existed until some 10+ years later ;_; )
And in more recent times:
- Beating Rodin on Bayonetta definately felt like an achievement (which ironically it doesn't earn you one... even tho' he's alot harder than anything else that game throws at you)
- 200G'ing Mega Man 9 also felt like a good reassurance that I've 'still got it'
- Getting all 121 Stars on Super Mario Galaxy with Luigi also felt like an achievement given how long it takes, even for experienced Mario gamers - plus some of the purple coin stages were actually challenging! :O

I managed to pull myself away from Mass Effect 2 long enough to consider it a "break".
That's gotta count for something.

I beat Chrono Trigger by going in the Right Teleporter AFTER Marle disappeared, so it was a solo Crono fight, and I was at an average end-game level, which is a lot more difficult with no healers and only one target.

It really is difficult...I pulled two long nights with it this week and crashed yesterday. I doubt I'll even get a chance to play any until sometime next week :/. I hate starting games that really pull you in and not having several hours at a time to devote to it.

To be honest I felt incredibly accomplished when I beat Mega Man 2, my first Mega Man game, for the first time.
I felt like I had crossed some line that made me an accomplished gamer. Now that I think about it, it was also the first Nintendo game I've ever beaten, as well.
