I think this might be the one game that will redeem the Wii's motion controls for me.

Wow, when I saw 'Epic Mickey' I expected Galaxy Man to have started the thread (we had a discussion about this game), but JT? Wow.

You have both Paint and Paint Thinner in your arsenal, and can either fill in the landscape or erase it.

The overall objective of the game is to vanquish the Phantom Blot, an evil paint monster that's transformed the world Mickey gets trapped in into a twisted version of itself, but you can go about it by either helping the inhabitants, restoring the color, and being a righteous Hero, or completely getting rid of anything in your way, destroying things for fun, and telling the inhabitants to fuck off because it would take too long to help them.

So you could be nice or you could have fun?

Well, the GI article listed the same scenario, played out under the two different sides. The Hero one had him rescuing Gremlins and painting in the landscapes, restoring color to the world, and what ended up happening is part of the stuff Mickey painted in made a platform to make a jump a lot easier, then the Gremlins helped him out a little bit later against an enemy. The Scrapper side of it had Mickey erasing shit, so when he had to make that jump, there wasn't a platform there, so it made it a lot harder to make the jump, and he didn't rescue any Gremlins, so they didn't help him out.

There's also the option to mix the two, it's not like once you go down one path you can't stray from it.

Oh well that's pretty cool, you can have more control of the difficulty then I suppose.

I hate when games only let you do the extremes, as Ben Croshaw once said '...the only choices are Mother Theresa and eating babies.'

When I first saw the game informer on with it on the cover, I thought they were just doing game infarcer a little bit early, but it does look pretty cool....

especially since you can be mickey mouse the jerk.

I find it kind of ironic that one of the most original game concepts I've heard of is a licensed title. Never thought I'd be interested in a game starring Mickey Mouse; hopefully they don't screw this up.

That said, I wish it was on any console but the Wii, even the 360, which I don't own. The gimmick has more than worn off for me.

Like I said, I think this game will REDEEM the Wii's motion controls for me. I've NEVER enjoyed them, so I'm looking forward to this game because they actually look fun.

But yeah this type of game would never be on 360 or PS3. I could see it maybe on DS or PSP, but the Wii is the obvious choice.

Mickey's not hardcore enough for the Xbox man! He's so gay just like that Megafag kiddy robot, and that pink ball Kirby, gay. If you gave Mickey a gun it would be so hardcore he could headshot Goofy and shit, now if you excuse me I need to pop some Ritalin and shoot aliens.
