So, Xenoblade Chronicles. It's a JRPG on the Wii that came out earlier in the year and has been getting ridiculous amounts of praise and good reviews, especially considering how much reviewers and the gaming media have shit on JRPGS over the last 4 or 5 years in favor of Western RPGs like Mass Effect, Elder Scrolls, Fallout, and Deus Ex. (Granted, with shit like Final Fantasy 13, it's not entirely undeserved, but still. They can be harsher than they need to be for no real reason)
Here's the thing though: Xenoblade has been readily available and completely translated and localized in EUROPE for a good couple of months now, with Nintendo basically trying to act like it never existed with regards to an American release. After a few months of fans constantly bitching and complaining, though, they announced that we're finally getting it, I think around May of next year, despite Nintendo basically saying that no, they're not going to retranslate it. They may be re-recording the dialogue, but their wording on that was a little sketchy. Either way, this is great news for Wii owners, since the Wii U is coming out next year.
In very related news, another JRPG, Tales of Graces F, was given a release date. Graces was another Wii game but was never brought over. Graces F is a PS3 port with additional content and, obviously, an English translation now. It's coming out March 13th of next year, and I'm super hype now that my brother has a PS3 that I can use to play it.
