I think it's Light accepting his role as the villain.

Now wouldn't that be a twist. History Repeating: Dark. An alternate universe where in Mega Man 3 Dr. Light goes insane and kills Wily with his bare (bear! roar!) hands and takes over the world.

The return of Blues as Proto Man, armed by Wily, has driven Light to the brink. He is now wishing for Wily's death and actively asking Mega Man to kill Wily, even as he struggles internally with the request.

Dark, and provocative.

I always assumed it was Gamma going crazy or Wily stealing Gamma.

It's very possible, but Wily has never uttered a violent word towards Light. He wants to take over the world and he'll send his minions out to kill Mega, but he never seems to have any hatred towards Light. I almost even get the feeling he's upset that after reactivating Protoman that Proto wants revenge.

Besides which, Wily has already stolen Gamma at this point, and I don't think he'd steal him, get away, then come back to kill Light.

Actually I wonder why Wily's never tryed gunning down Light. The worst he's ever done is kidnap him.

Because that wouldn't really help him accomplish anything. Mega Man's the one fucking up all his plans, not Light. And once Auto was built, Light became even LESS necessary.

I'm sure Light at least repairs Mega Man or something like that.
Now that I think about it, I don't think I can remember many instances of Wily attacking humans, save for the occasional kidnapping... Hell, Mega Man 9 and 10 plots genuinely make Wily look like the good guy.

Yeah but in the end he was the bad guy. He was blaming Light for the robot masters going berserk in a vain attempt to get pr and money. And then he was the one that created "roboenza". Hard to paint him in a good light when he's only out for himself. I guess when it comes down to it, he doesn't target humans because who's he going to rule when he's king of the world.

Wily worked with the Good Doctor. Dr. Wily knows that Dr. Light is a genius, and I think Wily refuses to waste his knowledge.

Also, killing humans is implied. You can't very well have explosions in numerous office buildings and expect no one to die. World domination seems to require war.

All I really have to say about this song is that, for Dr. Light, it's kinda dark. I guess there's only so far a man can be pushed before he just kinda loses it.

Also, Wily stage 3-4 = best damn theme ever
