I love you guys, seriously. In other places, my post would've been criticized. Here, it's quoted.
Damn, but the Megas have the best fanbase ever.
(It goes without saying how awesome they are.)
I'm really waiting most on History Repeating, but all the others sound flipping awesome. This was my first Mega Man game, bought for me by my parents back whenever you still had to use Legos or something to hold the cartridge in the NES JUST RIGHT so naturally I'm WAITING HARD here.
Useful question: Are you guys going to autograph some of the MM3 album like you did with Get Acoustic? And, has an album name been decided yet?

To be honest the Hard Man thing was a joke from one of Mikey's statuses but every time I listen to his theme, I get more and more pumped. I personally like the crowd cues. Like seriously, noting is better than feeling like we, the crowd, are part of the song.
Also, "Snake Eater." Just saying.

Definitely a fan of the crowd cues myself! One of the reasons I adore Sparkman.
I'm still keen on Snakes and Ladders, but that's cause I keep thinking about the ladders in his stage I guess.
Is History Repeating the official name of the song? I rather liked One Last Time as the name, and thought History Repeating was the album name - whoops!

Crowd call of HAAAARRRRRRRDDDDER THAN STEEEEEL sounds fantastic. Like... AWWWW YEAH!
I can not wait. Just make them sound fantastic, epic, and euphonous. And clear. Lyrical clarity is one reason why I absolutely ADORE you guys.
So essentially, I have no worries. Sounds absolutely fantastic. Like, seriously. This labor of love... :'(
GOT EQUIPPED WITH MANLY TEARS

One: I just wanna say (even though I had to go with recordings) that the new stuff is definitely bloody amazing.
And you guys officially made me cry when I listened to I'm Not the Breakman.
Two: As for ideas for the Snakeman title...
Temptation of the Serpent
Because Snakeman's trying to tempt him.
Garden Snake
Dual play here. Like those little green garter snakes that sometimes get called garden snakes (haha, Snakeman) and the serpent in the Garden of Eden.
Search Snake Your Feelings
Purely the combination of Search Snake and "Search your feelings, you know it to be true."

@comm When we record I'll let you know. Just bring some beer or some carne asada
@ubetube yes. god yes. always.
@speedburner Yeah. We've been discussing how to do a limited release. We may do a signing or do a limited vinyl run, OR a limited special edish.
and we're pretty sure the name of the alb is History Repeating.
@trc Snakes and Ladders IS a pretty sweet title. Though, I ran it by Greg last night and he just silently shook his head.
Yeah History Repeating is the name of the song, but it's a two parter so that intro you heard from MAGX is just some of History Repeating Pt1 and the song you know as One Last Time is actually History Repeating Pt2. But we may do a parenthetical thing like….. History Repeating Pt2 (One Last Time). But we'll have to see. All Megas have to agree.
@johnnyamerica It'll be interesting to see what peeps think of the new album. I'm curious if we'll get kids hating the new stuff in favor of the old.
@dwmitz Glad you dug I'm not The Breakman. I'd been wanting to play that song for awhile and was hoping everyone would like.
I think me and Greg were toying with something similar to Garden Snake, but it was more like The Snake's Garden or something.

I don't mean to be annoying or anything, but when do you think the album will be finished? I remember the last podcast saying that you were hoping to finish by MAGFest, but...

They were shooting for having it completed by this MAGFest but the MM3 album is HUGE. They've pretty much promised that it'll be done by next year but are shooting for a summer release.
Also welcome.

I believe they have an estimated 17 tracks and counting.
It'll be worth the wait.

IMO, songwriting-wise, MM3 blows MM2 out of the water. That's no disrespect to Get Equipped, it's just testament to how good the new stuff sounds. I have yet to hear a new song I don't like, and all are really good live.
I especially like the extension you guys did during sparkman, it really shows how you guys have grown as a live band. Can't wait 'til I can finally come see you guys some time.
