That's pretty good. I especially like that they actually used just three instruments. So many 8-bit songs I hear use more than that. Which isn't possible. At least not on the NES.

Actually
Most NES music uses 5 channels.
2 Square Waves
1 Triangle Wave
1 Pitch Shifted White Noise Track
1 DPCM track which allows you to sample up to 16 kb of sound files, pretty nifty for getting thicker drum beats.
Which is what I've been doing for this album I'm working on. Thickening EVERYTHING

Not exactly fresh or new and I don't know if anyone has mentioned them before, but the Savestates are pretty awesome in my opinion.
