Originally I thought it was Light singing. Yuguys have hanged my mind that it's at least in part Wily's song. I really like the theory that he tried to rebuild Protoman, only to have him go rogue and want to kill Light.

Is it possible, he maybe took Gamma not only to bring his peacetime world, but also to protect himself from Proto? Maybe he holds Wily as responsible for his original deactivation as he does Light?

This is Wiles pretending to be reformed (or maybe in megas canon actually bei reformed but changing his mind)

I feel like Wily didn't intend for Gamma to lose control.

Listening to it over and over, I feel that this song is Wily, but a portion of his soul that is actually repentant of what he is doing. He, in the lyrics, seems as if he genuinely wants to help the world, but cannot help but do evil.

Also, REALLY dig the 80's flavor I hear in the chorus. So choice!

Almost makes it sound like Wily let loose a monster he can't control.

Well, again I guess, if he can't control Protoman either. Guy has no luck!

That actually creeps me out and gives me chills again. I wish it were easier to make out, for others' sakes.

So basically in this version Wily ISNT controlling Gamma, it's basically gone berserk? I like it.

Would just like to point out the possibility of Wily merely making Light THINK Gamma is out of control, so as to stay in character and continue to fool him. Everything may very well be going according to plan.

I wonder if there's any significance to the drive letter... >.>

Anyhow, my take on the song is that it's all said by Wily, and that it at least attempts to portray him in a more sympathetic light by explaining his motives (contrasted with Watch You Die, where Light seems to be painted in a much darker light).
