You know, if you listened to all of the podcasts, they also say that this isn't something that's going to sustain them right? This is just a hobby for them. Just because they're in the red, doesn't mean that their "business model" isn't working.
We all like The Megas and the music that they produce. Just because we don't want the rest of the album spoiled, doesn't make any one less hyped for it. You do realize that we're actually REALLY privileged that these guys are pretty cool? Any of us could facebook/tweet them, and they typically respond. Hell I've even got to text Greg while we were all hanging out at MAGfest. You definitely don't get that with a vast majority of mainstream bands.
So you think that getting new material when it's released is good? That's not technically advertising. I know that you want it, hell we all do to some degree, but that's not advertising. What you can do, and something that we all do, is try to get into groups with our friends who might/do like video game music. Try and spread the word about The Megas. I know that when I found these guys several years ago I was the only one in my area who knew about them. Now roughly 15 or 20 people know and LISTEN to The Megas and about half of them have gone to see them live at some point. Now just so you know I live in the Louisville and Cincinnati area. I've made a 10+ hour trip every time to see them and have got the other people interested enough as well and many of them are going to do it again this year. Hell we've got more coming this year, from last I've heard. This is how you do it.
If you would like to help them with advertising, then try what I mentioned above.

Wow you're going that route, huh? A lot of us may come across as frivolous idiots who talk about nothing but our little in-jokes and shit, but I'm sure most of us are very much capable of having intelligent discussions. Believe it or not I'm not always a profane, overly rude jackass who does nothing but watch fightin' animes and yell at people on the internet, but you know what? I have fun being that jackass because everyone (for the most part) has a sense of humor and can take a fucking joke. We're a small, tight-knit community and I'd like to think we're all basically bros at this point. We goof off most of the time, like bros.
As big of fans as we are of The Megas, we know this shit takes time. It took 4 years for Get Equipped to come out, and the fact that an album nearly twice as long is going to take just under another 4 is great news to us. We've gotten Sparked A War, we've heard three or four tracks on mangled live video recordings, and we know the guys want to keep stuff a surprise this time. As has been stated multiple times, having 3/4 of your album freely available somewhere when you finally release it is kind of lame. It was necessary for Get Equipped because it was the first one, but now that they've got an established fan-base and guys like us who are willing to buy their albums twice, they don't have to put half their songs out there to get themselves a following.
I find it hard to resist spoiling myself on songs when a good quality live recording pops up. Hell, I probably listened to Fly On A Dog and Can't Stop The Top at least a dozen times each, which is likely a pretty low number compared to some people. But I'd rather have my mind blown on the remaining stuff. I know you're itching for more content from a band you really enjoy, but you've really got to learn some fucking patience.

Never once have you ever posted anything to give any indication that you are intelligent, let alone more intelligent than the average person here. In fact, your incessant whining has done more to prove the opposite.
And you can try to say what you want about Tuberz(Uberbro) all you want. He has more talent than you ever will, and he's a fairly smart kid for his age. Even back at his worse he was never as annoying as you.

Nah dude, it would've just happened in another thread either way. That's just how these things go.
Majin makes his monthly post asking where the album is.
Someone tells him to stop doing that.
He gets mad.
Arguments happen.

Can we be done with this now? We're not 7 year olds.

More like:
Majin asks where snake man is.
Someone else says why ask, because they don't want it now.
They get mad with Majin's opinion.
They insult Majin.
I'd like to see you people who so easily insult me on the forums to do it to my face in person. I doubt you'd come off so rude and tough if you were standing in front of me.

Look. As far as anonymity goes, I'm pretty out in the open with you guys. If I call someone shit for brains, and am not joking, I mean it. And I would do it to your face if I saw someone and they deserved to be called out on their fecal mind. We get it. You want the album now. It's not happening. Just go back to playing StarCraft II. Come back at the end/start of the year, and see if they have released the album yet. If they have, great. Buy a copy or two, listen to it, post a review here or join in discussion. Don't come in here demanding things.
As a side note guys, I like to think that he's actually Double D posting under this account just to stir up some conversation.

Wow, things got crazy pretty quick! I was just explaining why we don't go out of our way to make a nice recording of a song we're trying out live for the first time - it's not like we ask people in the audience to turn off their cameras or anything. We are known to play songs live without having finished them or before we technically should play them (see the Sparkman CIA performance from a couple years back - we had just come up with the song that day, and didn't have any verse lyrics yet but played it anyway) - we do this because we want to do something special and different for the people who come to see us at these conventions/shows, and we don't want to play the same set every time.
It's cool when songs that have become a staple of our live show (History Repeating, I Want to Be The One to Watch You Die, Top Man, Fly on a Dog) get out there enough via youtube to have people singing along with them at shows, all I'm saying is that the more songs are completely fresh when you guys hear the album, the better (opinion from person who doesn't like spoilers, not from professional marketing executive.)
And yes, we'll be pre-releasing official recordings and teases and things like that when the release date is solidified. And we're sorry if you think the album is taking too long to come out. We've been reluctant to post a time frame for when it will come out because these things always take much longer than we think they will. We have an idea, and we're on track for that idea, but we don't want to get flamed if we don't meet that goal.
Oh, and we're recording a podcast next week. Finally!

Wow. Majin, you're kinda like I was back in the old days.
Just give it some time and you'll come right, trust me.
Just don't go ruining the possible friendships with these guys here. They really helped me become the person I am today. For the better, trust me.
It just looks like you need the same sort of thing.
