Everybody, I've come to the conclusion that the intro song, features both Megaman and protoman singing.
I'm sure alot of you heard the line 'Hi Rock, my weapon is hot, we'll through down show me what you've got', I could be wrong but that's what I heard and a quick browse through many topics shows many others have heard this line too.

Thoughts?

For a second I saw that as something on par with
Quote:
HISTORY REPEATING THE THIRD GRADE
But yeah, the line is constantly argued. I think it's Hi Rock.
I don't care if other people have other opinion. The Megas keep us guessing and it's not like it's wrong to have other opinions.

Haha, memories. Yes, it was a big discussion, but it's closed now. The song is mostly from Megaman's perspective.

The song, during this playing, started with Protoskull because they already used the mega skull for I want to be the one and protoman represents their mm3 album as a whole.

I believe, though this is not confirmed, that mega man is singing most of the song. However, we get a duality of contact between Mega and Proto right when the screen had the half and half skull.

Megaman says "[Protoman] Betrayed, my father again [...] Today, I change the end" That last part is a twist on "Today, the end begins". It reinforces that that stanza, and probably the ones before it, are megaman.

But then we get "Hi Rock, My weapon is hot [...] Today we change the end." It's a new person singing that stanza, aka Protoman. Then it goes back to Mega Man musing to himself.

Sorry if I went into too much detail. I totally knowt I was way off back when I thought it was I rock. Hi and I do sound very similar. But I don't think that was some shameful time that deserves to be forgotten and spat upon. It was interesting, tempers did not flare, and it was a fun discussion. But, regardless, it is also fun to see how the lyrics have evolved into reinforcing the change in singers. Now, this is still just my take on it, but it's a lot more assured than last time.

We've come to a consensus that the song is about getting high. The "high rock" is referring to a crack rock about to be smoked.

Today we change the end.

I'm a prototype man
I'm a mega man

Yup, seems to be a duet.

He never said he didn't like you. He just said he likes you more than his formerly current position of likability towards you.

But knowing JT, he's gonna say "Nah, fuck that, I didn't like him. 8) "

That reminds me of that comic you did of Cowbox and Fox at one point.
