Not to rush the Megas, nor even to try to convince them to change whatever plans they already have, but has the next album already been decided?
If it has, which game is it?
I keep my hands crossed and pray fervently for Mega Man 9, though I remember some discussion of the X series. Last I remember being certain, it hadn't been decided, but has that changed?

I'm about 110% sure he meant after the Mega Man 3 album. That being said I think to the best of our knowledge it is going to be Mega Man X. I could be completely wrong and leading you into a forest of confusion though.

Ah, well seeing as MM3 hasn't come out yet, 'Next Album' would indicate he was talking about that, but if he is indeed talking about something after MM3, then yes it's been hinted at that they'd do MMX.

Yeah, I meant after 3. should have said that, but I'd hope it'd be obvious.
news of something other than nine leaves me disappointed, though. :'(

They mentioned they were interested in that as well, but I think MMX would be first, but I could very well be wrong.
EDIT: From Wiki:
Quote: In an interview in October 2009, the band said their next projects include Mega Man 3, Mega Man X, and Mega Man 9 albums.[4] The band was originally set to be a part of the Mega Man 9 soundtrack, but the project never got past the concept stage.
So not sure which would be done first, but they plan on doing both.

Shame, I knew both were planned but I was hoping 9 would be first.
Galaxyman would be so amazing D:

Josh's idea for Chill Penguin is pretty hilarious at this stage. I would prefer MMX.
MM9 songs all sound really similar.

I prefer MM10's soundtrack to 9 personally, so I'm hoping for them to touch on that. Perhaps a 9/10 combo album? Just tossing around ideas.
But I also dig X so yeah.

I thought I was the only person who loves it more.
I want them to do Strike man... and fix the little awkward part in the middle. (or make it funny as hell)
Nitro Man would be fantastic.
Blade Man would be... interesting. That song is very percussive in my opinion.
Commando Man would kick arse!
Chill Man would be an awesome one to see how it would go.
Solar Man. We all know it would fucking rock!

Solar Man already is rock
The Megas could just sing 'don't Fuck With' over his original theme and no one would notice

At BitGen I asked them about this.
They are torn between Mega Man 9, Mega Man X 1, and... The Belmonts side project.
Either way I'm stoked. But let's not get ahead of ourselves here. We could very well lose the ability to hear/function/breathe after being exposed to the MM3 album in it's pure finalized form.

The only problem with the Belmonts is....
I've got nothing.
