So I'm gearing up to do another emulator hack (note: distinct from a ROM hack), this time with the Get Acoustic music. For anyone who doesn't know what I'm talking about, my first post in the forums was posting a modified emulator that lets you play MM2 using Get Equipped as the background music.
Anyway, Switching the music between Get Equipped and Get Acoustic is actually pretty trivial--the hard part is just finding the spots where the songs should loop. This is where I figured I could get you guys or maybe even the band to help out, this time around.
For each song, I'll have to figure out a 'loop start' and 'loop end' point--each song will start from the beginning, play until the 'loop end' point, and then start looping indefinitely between 'loop start' and 'loop end'. You can help by identifying these points for me. Just open up Audacity (or download it, it's free), switch the metric to "samples" rather than actual time, and post where you think those points are.
Once the album comes out (or earlier if a Mega is bored and feels like chipping in before it's released), once I know the loop start and loop end points, I can churn out this hack in a couple of hours.
Or if no one feels like doing that, I'll find the time eventually, but it'll probably be a matter of weeks instead of hours. Either way, I'll post it here when it's all finished up.

It'd be worth it for me, really.

Ehh, this is kind of embarrassing, but the Windows-only VirtuaNES was the only open-source emulator I could get to compile. When this is finished, it'll be Windows-only again.
Anyway, progress has slowed to a crawl...I've decided to take it upon myself to do acoustic versions of every song the Megas didn't. I've finished two and I have one written...there are still a few more to go, and then all the coding and loop points. Unfortunately, between work, school, and a bunch of side projects, this has kind of fallen to the wayside.
This will happen eventually (I've already made two, it's not actually that hard)...but it'll be a while. Like I said in the original post, if I get help with the loop points, it'll go a little faster, but with me recording music for it, it's going to be fairly slow either way.

I thought I had already told you.
But yeah, I've got a medley of Wily 3-4 and the Boss theme written, but I'm not really sure how to orchestrate it, yet.

Accordian solo, plus an orchestra of Didgeridoos and Triangles, throw in a violin to be safe
