So, I just read that there is the potential of the megas disliking mm4. This may be old news, but I am dissapointed by this. I think there are some things that need to be touched there, such as skull man. Think about it, a robot built for war, to scare humans into submission and then take them out. Without making him a psychopath, I see the potential for great lyrics, and I absolutly love the theme.
In addition, the solitude of Dust man could easily be replicated in an amazing rock addition, or so I think. I don't have great experience with different styles of music, but seeing what the Megas can do with what they have already done, I could see rock versions of the mega man 4 robot masters.
And also, the conflict between Dr. Cossak and Dr. Wily and Dr. Light could be impressive when put to some of the boss music.
If, by some off chance (I'm not familier with how often the megas themselves read the forums) this is being read by someone with any swaying potential, I would really like to see mega man 4 done. I feel like it's an important part of the series, a turning point, if you will. Even if some of it might not be the easiest to convert to rock, the lyric potential of it is worth some consideration.
Anyone with me? What does everyone think about mega man 4?

I wish we had a drop box for this or something like that, maybe a community made forum MM4 album, perhaps?

Almost everyone here loves 4.
The Megas can turn shit into gold if they really wanted to, so even if we hated it, they could still make it awesome.
This whole topic is fairly old news at this point (INB4 FORUM PROJECT!), but I think we'd all love to see the Megas change their mind about MM4.
Still, that said, I'd much rather see them do X after 3.

I'll hardly be the last person to mention it, but there has been an oft-spoken-of, oft-forgotten-about Megaforum fan project for MM4. Kalzone and a few others have been working on it forever.

Good to know. I'm still holding out for a megas interpretation of skull man, though.

Have you tried commissioning them with a respectable sum of money?

We've had this thread a couple of times now... I think the general consensus is that the band likes SOME of MM4, namely Skull Man, but it's low on their priority list. A LOT of us love MM4, we tried to make our own Megaforum "Megas Tribute" album with MM4 but it fell through. It's sort of become the butt of a lot of jokes among us.
I'm hoping they take a look at MM4 at some point, but the odds are low.

Meh, I'm not that active in the project anymore. We've been slowing down to focus attention on particular songs so they don't end up rushed like Ring Man did. If you're actually interested, Helios, you can PM me or something. We actually had a decent version of Skull Man going, that was one that was turning out okay.
This is seriously the third or fourth topic about this from newbies though...the project became a butt of so many jokes because pretty much every other post from me for a few months was me explaining it.

I'm sorry I fell into the catagory, then. I did intend to see whether this had already a topic unto itself, but I didn't feel like searching through 219 results for "Mega Man 4". But, anyways, showing continued interest in the theme will boost the chances of the megas eventually getting to it. I don't care if it's one of their later ones, I'm just hoping they eventually do it.
Then again, I also hope that eventually, they'll have worked with all the classic mega man games. That would be cool.

I'm guessing they'll do it after they've done the ones they really like such as X and 9, but yea it is pretty low priority.

Yeah, I'm guessing MM4 is WAAY down the pipeline. There are some good songs in there, but they don't compare to X or 9, and they probably won't compare to 10. I don't think there's much of a chance of us seeing covers from 4 anytime soon.
This idea has been brought up before, but I think it should be reiterated--a Megas album that spans multiple games would be great. That way we can hear some of the better songs from the games with otherwise lackluster soundtracks, sometime between now and the next decade.

I think that if any games should intertwine for the album, it should be Megaman 8 and Megaman & Bass.
