I'm having the hardest time adjusting to that song from the older version. I can't get into the new intro at all ><
I love Brian's synth additions toward the end, but at the beginning of the song they just throw me off. It's not even that I don't like them, I just feel like they don't belong there or something because I'm so stuck on the original.
And yet somehow, by the end of the song, they really start growing on and sticking out to me and adding something special to the track. I wish I could pinpoint when/why it suddenly clicks in my brain :/
I'll just have to keep listening until I forget the original

I'll just have to keep listening until I forget the original I know what you mean, I'm the same way with it. It was really bothering me the first few times I heard it. But now I'm able to kind of keep them separate and really appreciate how crazy it is. I had the same issue with the version of Metalman's song that MegaRan did when I first heard it.

I had all of the crowd chants down from Sparked a War (EP) and now I have to get the timing down on the "SPARK" right after Eric sings "WE ARE THEEEEEE."

I've listened to Sparked a War so many times that hearing a new version of Spark Man is like trying to come up with a clever metaphor but not being able to think of one for five minutes and settling on saying "Old was great but this is great too, and also different!"

You've never heard of Crush 40? Had you played Sonic Adventure 1 or 2, or any of the... not so fun Sonic games to come after that? Cause most of them had Crush 40 on em. It's awesome hype/driving music. Was actually the first American music I liked, before that it was all video game ost and japanese stuff. thank god for Crush 40.
I am also a fan of Hardline, the singer of Crush 40's other band, thought they haven't made any new music in like 10 years D:

Open your Heart <3 with much love. Though I kinda try to stay away from Sonic the Hedgehog (2006).
