The Megas hit Northern California!

Northern California fans! It’s been a long time coming, but we’re doing a 3-show mini tour July 8th-10th in your part of the state! Here are the dates:

Friday, July 8th - The Crepe Place in Santa Cruz, CA

Saturday, July 9th - California Extreme Classic Gaming Expo in Santa Clara, CA

Sunday, July 10th - Plea for Peace Center in Stockton, CA

All of these are all ages shows, and the July 9th show is at an arcade expo with hundreds of free play machines! We’re playing with some great bands too, including The Phenomenauts, A_Rival and 8 Bit Weapon - hope to see some of you there!

The Megas at Video Games Live!

Super excited about this one. On Wednesday, June 8th, we will be playing a special medley on the main stage at Video Games Live! This is the E3 edition of Video Games Live, and it’s their 200th show, so in addition to us there will be an astounding amount of awesome performances and new songs - check out the press release here!

We really hope anyone who’s in town for E3 will be able to make it to this - it will be a show unlike anything we’ve ever done before!

MAGfest 9 is right around the corner!

That’s right gang, our third straight performance at MAGfest is in less than 2 weeks! The event takes place January 13th-16th at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center in Alexandria, VA.

This year’s MAGfest promises to be the best yet, with performances by practically every video game band we can think of, including the godfathers of video game rock themselves, THE MINIBOSSES!

What’s more, The Protomen will be putting on not one but TWO epic concerts, one for Act I and then a second for Act II the following night!

With all of the other acts raising the bar, we have decided to one-up our performance as well, with the debut of some brand new songs from the upcoming MM3 album, as well as a number of surprises, guest appearances, and additions to our set!

You really have no choice but to preregister, and come hang with us all weekend!

Mega Man Universe!

Capcom has released the first glimpses of gameplay footage for their upcoming Mega Man Universe game, and all of the videos feature music by the Megas!

The first 3 videos, each featuring a different playable version of Mega Man (Mega Man, Rockman, and Bad Box Art Mega Man) and feature our track The Message from Dr. Light, while the 4th features all 3 of the playable Mega Men and features Lights Out, the instrumental Sparkman track from our single, Sparked a War!

Very excited to be involved in these official trailers, and can’t wait to see what’s in store in the future for these games!

The Sparkman Single!

Just in time for the summer con circuit (Comic-Concert in San Diego and Bit Gen 5 in Baltimore are coming right up) - we are playing NEW songs! Selling NEW (awesome) shirts! And most importantly - a NEW CD! It's not the MM3 full length we know you guys have been waiting for (though we've been progressing nicely on that), but it's the next best thing!

Remember when bands used to release singles with cool b-sides not available anywhere else? Well, that's what we've decided to release as a nice preview of the upcoming Megaman 3 album!
