Comic-Con Weekend Epicness.
Comic-Con Weekend Epicness.
Hey Megapeeps - we had an epic weekend at Nerdapalooza in Orlando, and the crowd set the record for BEST CROWD EVER! We even had Metalman, Quickman, Protobabe, and Mega Man in attendance!
Now that the best crowd gauntlet has been tossed, it is time for a new crowd to step up and take the title. There are a lot of opportunities coming up - we’ve got the 2nd annual Megas northeastern tour coming up August 21-28 - but first, we’re hitting up the San Diego Comic-Con for a long, exciting, and likely exhausting weekend! We are sharing a booth at the con with Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Series and Snafu Comics, booth #5302. We’ll post twitter updates to keep you informed of things that come together during the con, if you’re twitter-inclined. Follow @themegas for that info.
To celebrate the Con weekend, we’re going to be performing as the house band on the 91X morning show with Mat Diablo! We’ll be on the air Friday morning, bringing our rock and podcast stylings to the actual radio airwaves! The show runs from 5:30-10am, so we’re gonna be tired but excited. Also appearing on the show will be Doug Benson, Brian Posehn, and VG comedy masters Mega 64! If you’re not in San Diego, you can listen online @ http://www.91x.com/listenlive.html - should be a good time!
In addition to the booth and the radio gig, we’ve got 3 shows!
First off, this Thursday, July 23rd, we’re playing the pre-show at Video Games Live at Embarcadero Park! We kick off the festivities around 6, so make it there early if you want to check us out!
Next up, on Thursday night, we’re playing TWO acoustic sets at Bondi, a bar/restaurant directly across the street from the con. We’re going on from 10pm-1am, so come on by anytime and check it out! The Bondi is located at 333 5th Ave, San Diego, California 92101.
Then, on Sunday, we’ll be rocking again to close down the Con - we’re playing at Lestat’s Coffee House with Random Gibberish! This show is located at 3343 Adams Ave, San Diego, California 92116.
